Michael Jordan’s iconic basketball shoes from 1985 have continued to be an influential model in the sneaker game up to this day. Not only has it surfaced in co-branded colourways but also retro designs that are grail-worthy for a lot of die-hard Jordan fans. Now-famous renditions like the AJ1 Low and AJ1 Mid have also played huge roles in the silhouette’s rising popularity over the past years, and that is perfectly presented via the Air Jordan 1 High OG Prototype. We’ve got a closer look at what makes this iteration unique, so read on for more.
At first glance, you’ll see that this AJ1 high looks quite ordinary—Nike Swoosh logos are still on the sides, the ball-and-wings motif on the collars, and a full-length midsole down under. And as far as the colour arrangement goes, it sports a mix of white, orange, blue, grey, beige, and reflective silver, all of which adorn the nubuck overlays.
With that aside, the award-winning feature of these Jordan 1 trainers are the perforated collars allowing the wearer to customise them from a high-top to a low-top.
